Mission Statement

Rebecca Valentine, whom some of you may have met at the recent tour of Cavallo Point, has brought a sustainable building program to our attention:

"There is a 9-month Sustainable Building Advisor Program (SBAP) being offered in San Francisco that starts in November. I have met with Jana Boring, the program coordinator, several times and have decided that I am going to take the class. The classes are held on one Friday and Saturday once a month for 9 months. It will offer a great foundation in green building concepts, and there will be expert guest lecturers each month, hands-on exercises, several field trips, etc.

Please see the website for more info. http://www.bayareasba.org/

The Sustainable Building Advisor Program is a national program, administered by a non profit in Washington state. It has an excellent reputation and is being offered at a few dozen locations throughout the U.S. Please feel free to pass this info along to your HIA members or other business colleagues; there will be an info session offered soon in San Francisco. Please mention my name to Jana if you or anyone you know attends the info session."
