The Academy is one of the oldest professional cooking schools in the city. They moved from their former quarters on Polk Street at Turk to their new location in a brand new building at 16th Street and Rhode Island.
It includes a full restaurant, the Careme 350 Room in which the students can practice their crafts in a public venue.
Come join us for a full tour of the facility led by the Director of Admissions, Jose Saez. The school, operating a 4-year program in the Culinary Arts and other aspects of running a restaurant, has produced many of the top chefs and cooking staff of some of San Francisco and the Bay Area’s better known restaurants.
We will meet at 5:30 PM in front of the Careme Room at 16th and Rhode Island and begin the tour at 6:00 PM.
Afterwards for those who wish you can join us for a no-host dinner in the Careme 350 Room.
Reservations must be made as soon as possible by calling the reservations hot line at 415 216 4415 and ask for Stephen Gentile. Mention you are with the HIA tour, and you will be seated near the HIA group.
Tour reservations are limited to 35 participants, so RSVP’s must be placed early.
