Laura Cook, Vice-President BraytonHughes
Laura Cook received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1988. Her professional career includes extensive design experience in international and domestic hospitality design.
Ms. Cook provides professional and creative design solutions for a variety of hospitality, spa, and private club projects. She works closely with her clients in all project phases, from initial concept and space planning, to design development and FF&E solutions, documentation and construction administration.
Since joining BraytonHughes in 1998, Ms. Cook has focused on hospitality and spas, including the Hyatt Regency Convention Center Hotel in Calgary, Alberta; the Ritz-Carlton Highlands Resort, Lake Tahoe; the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa; Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Willow Stream Spa; the Still Water Spa at the Hyatt Regency, Lake Tahoe; the Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club in Cashiers, North Carolina; the renovation of the Olympic Club’s City Club in San Francisco, California; and Cavallo Point, the Lodge at the Golden Gate in Sausalito, California which is part of the redevelopment of historic Fort Baker.
Prior to joining Brayton Hughes, Ms. Cook was a senior designer at Bent Severin & Associates, a firm specializing in hospitality projects in Asia. Her work there included the Menara Peninsula Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia; the Marriott Hotel in Goa, India; the Nikko Hotel in New Delhi; and the Westin Surabaya in Surabaya, Indonesia; as well as the Trump/New World-Riverside South Condominium development in New York City.
In the Boston area, Ms. Cook worked for Graham Design Ltd., where her projects included the Sheraton St. Regis New York City; Conrad Wiltcher’s Hotel in Brussels, Belgium; and the Conrad Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey.
